Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and composer. Harry Styles has been recognized for his compositions to the One Direction band. He was born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England the 1st of February, 1994. He is the son of Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School in which he started his own band, composed of 3 classmates. The band he called the White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009 due to their impressive results. While he's always interested in music, he also hoping to be an lawyer or an physiotherapist. In the past, he was employed as a part-time baker in the city he lived in to help economically at home. Harry Styles, in 2010 made an audition for The X Factor. His single Is not She Lovely was and was performed by Stevie Wonder. It was for this reason the band split up. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who suggested Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. The creation of the group was a fact in 2010 and the five youngsters were sponsored by Simon Cowell. The band performed songs like My Life Would Suffer Without You from Kelly Clarkson, and Total Eclipse of the Heart, by Bonnie Tyler during the competition. This made the group one of the potential winners for the prize. They were in third place just behind Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle which were the winners. Harry Styles did not receive a prize, however Cowell made a deal worth 2 million pounds for One Direction in order for the group to be a part of Syco Records.
