Lucy Liu was born in the United States. She is an American actress, a singer and voice-over artist. A beautiful, smart and skilled actress, she is an model for Asian actors who want to make it big in Hollywood. An early string of success roles in a popular TV show resulted in her being well-known for her part in the character of Ally McBeal, where she appeared as Ling Woo. The fame she gained from the show was translated into films roles like Shanghai Noon or Charlie's Angels. After that, she delivered an excellent role in Quentin Tarantino Kill Bill Volume 1 as Japanese criminal O Ren Ishii. Also, she portrayed leading characters in failed box office films such as Rise: Blood Hunter. Then, she was voice actor for animated movies, such as Kung Fu Panda.
